ADOPTED - CUBBY is a 7-month-old, 33# energizer bunny. Like his littermates he likes to tug with the other puppies, but his favorite playtime activities are to shake stuffed toys or to grab & tussle on his own with hanging tug toys. ADOPTED - CINDER is a dignified 8-year-old border collie/lab mix of about 45#, who is deaf. JAZZ is a classically marked rough coat boy with one gold eye and one blue eye. His leash manners are coming along; he pulls a little in general & he still pulls a lot when he sees a squirrel or a small dog. ADOPTED 1/22/2022 Meet BANDIT, a small (38#), 8-year-old boy who is ready to find his forever home. She got this injury during the most recent wildfire in Butte County, when she was found stray & injured by firefighters. He likes to go for rides in the car & going for walks on a leash, & while he is not trained to heel yet, he does walk nicely on a leash. Bandit was clearly neglected in his former life, but he's loving life now after a dental, grooming, & a diet, as well as the attention of his foster family who loves him dearly. Even though she is good with otherdogs & with cats, she clearly prefers people. And when hes done playing hard with the group or chewing squeaky toys on his own, he likes to fall asleep on the stuffed red dog. All of the puppies are her playmates, & like her siblings WAFFLE enjoys tugging with the other pups & with people. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but he loves one-on-one attention so much that his ideal home would be one in which he is the only dog. You do something with her & she says Ive got it & tries to do it again & again to get reward. Even with her adventurous spirit, she is still cuddly & affectionate, giving kisses & seeking comfort from her person & her littermates. He will throw toys in the air for himself, catch them, & run wild zoomies around the yard, trying to get his foster mom to chase him. chase birdies in flight, chase a ball) while stopping from time to time to chew a little grass, rinse and repeat. This girls second name is FUN. Running & leaping & dashing & pouncing (yes, like a rabbit) & chasing are his favorite activities. ADOPTED MUFFIN MAN likes to give kisses as a reward when you sing his theme song (Do You Know the Muffin Man?) to him. She is nicely social with people she has just met. He is very loving; in fact, his foster mom called him a big ball of love. He is curious & adventurous, but he especially likes to do whatever the group is doing. JAZZ gets along well with his foster packmates, travels nicely in the car, is crate-trained, and knows to go potty outside. He would not be a good candidate for dog park play & exercise. He likes water a lotboth to drink & to play in. FIONA is a sweet girl who wants to be with her people, and loves to play and run. ADOPTED 1/22/2022 Classically-marked WAFFLE is the smallest girlies, & at first blush, the most delicate. Waffle likes people; & she loves to cuddle, give kisses, & even to bundle up after she settles from play. She sits, lays down, and responds well to her name, and while in confined spaces, a simple whistle will retrieve her quickly. ADOPTED 1/22/2022 RAZZBERRY is sweet & in-your-face affectionate; she doesnt take no for an answer. While Bandit wins the Mr. Congeniality Award with people & other dogs, he is most definitely not a cat man. We don't know how he would be around cats or other animals. Latte is curious, adventurous, & is willing to step out & try things on her own. SADIE is learning not to jump on people, figuring out what she can and cannot chew on, and realizing that everybody and everything is her friend. Smoky is a strong, athletic, & agile boy, who would love to have an exercise buddy to go on adventures with, to run & play with, & then to hang out afterwards. He adapts to routines very quickly. ADOPTED LATTEs short, easy-to-care for coat is a glorious mix of colors. She is quiet & takes things in, checking things out before joining the fun. His personality is also classic BC that is! She has long, showgirl legs and loves to run more than anything else. A play buddy and regular exercise will make JAZZ a happy dog, as well as close contact with his humans. She snuggles up to, follows around, & looks adoringly at her people, sometimes twirling in the air with joy. She is easy-going & never pushy. She does not bark needlessly; she will, however, boldly warn you of strangers nearby. ADOPTED - LOVE is the most affectionate dog you will ever meet. SADIE has proven herself to be a quick learner and does not like to disappoint. She finds her way & watches her foster mom attentively for direction. Now they are all buddies after admiring each other's teeth! Oatmeal is very affectionate & social with everyone he meets. He does love to be chased, but with other dogs he likes to take turns. The older female dog in his foster home is very capable of telling him when she's had enough, but the other dogs are not & sometimes don't appreciate his attentions. Even though he likes to jump, Duke is a kind boy, & he doesn't jump up on people; when his front feet leave the ground it's only to give his person a gentle hug. She prefers if her humans come with her but is content to roam the yard on her own or with a canine buddy. That said, Waffle is silly in her playbouncing around, standing up, rolling, & kicking. Cinder loves nothing more than curling on a soft bed, stretching out for deep rubs, padding around the yard with her foster mom, & taking the short walk. Bandit likes meeting new people & exploring new places. He loves people & gets along beautifully with the dogs in his foster home. ), running alongside her, pouncing on her, & repeating the above until both of them have tongues dangling & bodies flopping on the ground without an ounce left. LOVE is a slender 40 pounds with a girlish figure. He is a rough coated tri-colored 36 pound boy who is affectionate, sweet, loving and yes.he's crate trained!! (He would be a great running partner or hiking buddy). SUNNY responds well to praise. He has an infectious enthusiasm for everything he encounters: dogs, toys, birds flying overhead, etc. He is glued to staring wherever she is and will stare at her for hours! FIONA gets along well with her foster packmates, travels nicely in the car, is crate-trained, and knows to go potty outside. The good news is that Smoky is a fast learner, & he loves treats & toys, so training with him is going to be fun & rewarding. If you let him, JAZZ will climb into your lap! Molly will then come in for pets, loving and curling up on the couch with her person, or making herself comfortable on one of the many dog beds around the house (most often the one in foster dads office when he is close by, like right now as I write this). She is confident, adventurous, & is involved in everyone elses play. Adopted JAZZ is on the higher energy side, but has an off switch when nap time or bed time arrives and he settles down in his crate. He is incredibly athletic & loves to run full out & to jump. https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Cubby1.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/ncbcra-logo.png, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Cinder-2022-1.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Sadie-5-scaled.jpeg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Momma-Molly-2022-14-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/IMG_8123.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/20220117_102959-2.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/IMG_3198-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/20220106_145615.png, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Razzberry-New-3.jpeg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Smoothie-Girl-6-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Waffle-and-Oatmeal-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Latte-New-5.jpeg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Oatmeal-Boy-10-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Muffin-Man-6-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Duke-2022-1-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Bandit.png, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Rocket2-scaled.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/IMG_3003.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Smoky-2021-1.jpg, https://norcalbcrescue.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Mercy-and-Deary.jpeg, Copyright - Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions. The pups are heading off to their forever homes, & it's time for MERCY to find her family. Her lack of hearing doesn't seem to make a bit of difference except in a good way. ADOPTED 1/22/2022 SMOOTHIE is the most loving & calm of all the puppies when its time for cuddles or when shes settled after lots of activity. He will keep up this kind of play with another dog until his foster mom takes him back in the house & puts him in his pen or crate for a nap. Her favorite games are tug & tug & tug & then, go chase a ball; when truly settled, she likes a nice chew toy to go to sleep with. She would love a quieter, adult home. Our TUCKER loves to play with balls, stuffed toys and the other dogs here, the 2 male border collies in residence have both shown TUCKER their teeth but although he's a smaller male he just showed them his teeth right back! ADOPTED - SADIE is just about the cutest and sweetest pup you will ever meet. Mollys ideal day is eat, go out and play (i.e. Check out his pics! She is very smart and will be a joy to teach/mentor. She wants to be where the action is! ADOPTED - TUCKER, Mr 'Happy Go Lucky' darling one year old male border collie. His play with his foster sister--an adult border collie--involves chewing on her, especially her tail (live tug toy? ADOPTED - A big hello to SUNNY, our darling 4-year-old, tri-colored, classically marked rough-coated border collie. He is still very much a puppy despite his size. He's about the cutest border collie I've ever seen! TUCKER is playful, loves mom and dad, likes Pucklechurch the resident cat a bit toooo much. She is polite and patient, and does vocalize, but is most often quiet. Smoky is acclimated to a crate, sleeping in his crate at night, but with the door open. Although she does not exactly prefer her crate, she can typically be coaxed in with a treat and tolerates it while her fosters are away from home. This high energy dog is very active, playful and full of affection. Cinder is not bothered at all by noises, including thebarking of otherdogs. She is a low-key girl, gentle& devoted. She is the first one to go on adventures in the house, yet she can settle & cuddle, too. He is not mean or aggressive in his play, but he is relentless, his play mocking "herding," so a home with another steady & strong older border collie would be best for him. He has also started to shadow his foster dad, to stay close to his human. Overall as you can see in his video, he is one sweet boy. ADOPTED - MAMA MERCY is a small (around 32#), young (about 18 months) former mama dog of seven darling puppies. A play buddy will also make FIONA a happy dog. We don't know about cats. ADOPTED - Meet SMOKY, a 1 year-old border collie mix of about 70 lbs, ready to start the new year in his new home. She picked up her name in a matter of days, has not had any accidents in her foster home, and knows what no means. He has spunk! This beautiful girl, weighing in at a sleek 45lbs, is a total love bunny!! Shes likes to be involved with the family and is not a passive family member. Meet JAZZ, a 38-pound 1-2 year-old bundle of enthusiasm and joy! She is a young, rough-coated sable girl, weighing in at 45lbs with room to grow. ADOPTED - DUKE is a gorgeous 53-pound, 2-year-old BC/Yellow Lab mix boy. He learned sit in a matter of minutes! This girlie is food-motivated & figures out quickly what it takes to get what she wants. She came to us with a rear leg injury that probably resulted from her leg being tangled in fencing wire; it has left her with a slight hitch in her gait (but no pain), & a slim scar. Overall as you can see in her video, she is one sweet girl. He lived previously in a home with 6 other dogs, & he is reported to have gotten along well with all of them, too. She has the most beautiful blue eyes, a white tipped nose and paws with fur like velvet. And in all things, she is gentle. Meet FIONA, a beautifully marked 55-pound 2-year-old! He is good about going potty outside (90% of the time & with a good routine). Kissing is a close second. A border collie mix with a docked tail & a smooth, easy-care coat, MERCY is a sweet, impish girl, who loves nothing more than to be with her people. He would also do well as a single dog in a border collie experiencedhome. He needs a home with no cats. ADOPTED OATMEAL (OATIE) is willing to try anything.
