sable miniature schnauzer

I have a dog who was previously puppy mill "breeding stock" and I challenge anyone to spend a day with her and not change their opinion. I was looking through these posts and thought I should post some comments to help clear things up. I can't imagine how sad that must have been.We adopted two puggle puppies in August. I adopted two wonderful puppies June 6th 2011. It was not creepy at all. I am very sorry about the loss of your puppy. I have known this group for a while. To start, puppy mills are defined as places where animals are kept in conditions considered inhumane and forced to produce puppies every cycle and are pure bred or designer breeds. Our dog is healthy and doing fine, and I have just considered I have given her a good home regardless of her origins! I hope that the people that had a bad experience were able to get things resolved. I found Heaven2Earth on AllPaws.com and I will make sure I report them and contact Tuskawaras County officials. When was the last time that you bought a used car and knew all about the origins of that car - for sure?I engaged Rachel in extensive conversation about everything regarding the dogs and the operation. Rachel states that her husband is vet tech at local clinic and that they work with them? She said she had to talk to me. Rachel was rude and offensive to my fianc. Their operation is transparent - tax return, names, location of business & home. One male, one female. The other puppies that are in the center are there for other families to see as they have identified them from pictures as possibilities. "Rachael" said "no he is here in New Pilly". I have no idea who that is. Theres something off about this place. Unfortunately, this means a lot of puppies are destroyed or go to the wrong people (like dog fights) if they cant give them away they do not want to feed or care for them any longer. I would like to see hard data on what happens to mixed breed puppies, but I'll admit that your experience and analysis seems pretty plausible to me. They already share the same germ pool. There is no foster parent input (for comparison see other organizations). She told us she cant show anyone a dog who isnt 100% sure theyll be going home with that dog that day and that we should have called and cancelled our appointment. Heaven to Earth Animal Rescue in New Philadelphia rescue is a SCAM. When you load a puppy on to Adopt a Pet or one of the other websites you are only allowed to pick two breeds. I had reservations about this place and inquired more than once about them working with puppy mills but, was reassured that these dogs were from Amish farmers that didn't believe in fixing their animals. To be honest, if she was first labeled as being mixed with pit I would not have adopted her. I feel that if you adopt from this organization you are not "rescuing" any more than if you went to a "Puppy Land" type STORE!Warning signs:** If in fact the puppies are being fostered together (and they almost always are) why can't you see them at the same time? Businesspeople don't get tax-deductible charitable donations to pay their own salaries and health insurance. My kids found this rescue online and we went to see the puppy in a house without any furniture. I haven't heard of any puppy mills that produce mutts, and even most backyard breeders aim to produce designer mixes or purebred-looking dogs. All is well thus far, but feeling a little weird since the experience. Text ROCKY to 73822 to urge officials to allow Rocky a lone coyote, who is pacing in apparent distress in a tiny cage, to move to an accredited sanctuary. But it does seem like an odd business model. On the bright side, we still take solace in the fact that we didn't directly support a puppy mill and got a dog who appears to have been treated well prior to meeting us.I should mention that if we do ever get a second dog (that's a big if), it would be an older one, and we'd get a bonafide rescue. I did post last comment 8/29/17. Which does have some validity/can understand. The rescue people will pay more than the pet-store brokers.. I hope you have found a new pup, as my granddaughter said "papa, you saved a life". But a puppy broker- RED FLAGS- NOT listed on Petfinder- ALL legitimate rescues are on Petfinder. We have had her a month now and things are going well. I did have a bad feeling about this rescue group AFTER I read some of the bad review in this blog, but my husband decided we should go see the puppy anyway. We were told she was a german shepherd/lab mix and would grow to be "extra large". After looking up reviews, we discovered the weird feeling we were getting was correct. We got a puppy from this place a year ago; the puppy was in good health - definitely NOT the breed advertised; ad for Australian shepherd and as she started growing we became suspicious of that fact; she is actually either mixed with blue heeler or she is Australian kelpie - big difference in mannerisms from a aussie! if your thinking of getting a dog, make sure your have the time, energy, and finances. The fee is reasonable, considering initial costs of healthcare and housing for the animals (shelter puppies are not cheap!). Sure, their business model may be a little different, but it takes ingenuity to survive in business (yes, a charity must run as a business).Maybe not everyone is looking for that feeling of "rescuing" a dog. He peed elsewhere inside during housebreaking, but from day 1 he never pooped inside. The "broker" did save us time by providing a selection and making the process easier, but the lack of transparency really bothers me and I would not go back to them if we wanted another puppy. We got Gracie from them and she is a wonderful dog and healthy. Just shady We also adopted a puppy from them. Everyone seems to be complaining abou the money they make- breeders charge alot more $500+. For more than 15 years we have helped nearly 50000 customers resolve their issues and will never stop striving to ensure further improvements on our platform for a better communication between companies and customers. They are a fraudulent non-profit org and doing a huge determent to the rescue culture. They are still around, I have two puggles from them and they are the smartest dogs i have ever known. If I was hoodwinked, I have no idea for what. We took Maggie to a specialist soon after we got her. We went to a website that had pets posted from various "rescues". Just happy we saved our puppy from them! I am also sorry to hear about the loss of your puppy. Did ??? What rescue has only puppies, and a large amount..nonstop. My fianc and I drove 2.5 hours to see a puppy. The puppy was advertised as Lab/Collie mix and she looks like that. But they don't ask me any questions. Our girls are completely different in size and looks, but have the same characteristics otherwise. They told me they are "only set up for puppies." He is healthy and wonderful. I am sorry for your loss. We adopted our dog about a year ago from Heaven to Earth, mostly positive but something about it feels off. She told us that she knew we were not getting a dog just from looking at us and that we should be ashamed because we lied to her. With the experience I had it seems to me that this is just a puppy mill that claims its a rescue so it can hide from authorities and get tax breaks. Msg/data rates may apply. Our puppy was clean, the facility was clean, but you wonder where the pups are kept before they are brought here to prospective buyers. Theyll stand right there and look each other in the eye and outbid each other. Thats the one thing that rescues will get in competition over, an auction owner commented. Based on my instincts I would have taken this puppy regardless to save it from this situation! We adopted a puppy from them in March and are extremely happy. Training things. The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customers satisfaction. Just recently "rescued" Shepard mix. My gut tells me they are breeding these dogs somewhere and use this empty house (which is super creepy) to conduct the adoptions. This complaint was posted by a verified customer. I have rescued from a legit place before, this is not legit, and what they do is criminal. Sure, their business model may be a little different, but it takes ingenuity to survive in business (yes, a charity must run as a business).Maybe not everyone is looking for that feeling of "rescuing" a dog. Best of luck to you and God Bless. We came very close to adopting a puppy from this organization, but something did not feel right. I am sorry for your loss, sometimes that does happen. They often have high kill rates and bad conditions. She also said she didn't screen us as good as she should have. My fianc and I drove 2.5 hours to see a puppy. I was looking at a few puppies on line and the owner was very good about helping match up a personality to go with our other dog. He is a great addition to our family and we had a great experience with them. It makes me so angry that they are able to get away with this and like many others I wish I would've found this blog in advance. When we picked her up we were told it might have some German Shepard, too. THESE PUPPIES DO NEED RESCUING BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT MAY SEEM TO BE FROM THEIR "RESCUERS". U.S. only. as he was bleeding a bit at meeting. We discovered after vomiting every time we took her for a ride that she had worms. He tried to kill our barn cats and would jump up and try to bite our old pony in the face. I'm Looking for a Healthy Newfoundland. Reviewing the IRS Form 990 also raised my suspicion. She is a great dog. We are actually comtemplating another puppy and would go to Heaven to Earch again. In July of 2008 we adopted a puppy from this rescue. I adopted a puppy in March. Send me home with the medicine, food and a prayer book. She looks perfectly healthy, happy and has a very nice personality. Her level of concern and warmth toward the pups, along with her good knowledge and outward promotion of animal welfare made us think it would be pretty elaborate if it were an act. i do see they are not on pet finder but they are on adoptapet.com and still have there own site. Two, the woman appears to be a real estate broker and is selling these dogs in a similar fashion like selling houses with contracts you sign and then pay. Has people meet her at a vacant house so no one can see the conditions the puppies are being kept in. Claim it and get a lot of features. Of the negative posts only about half of them adopted from Heaven to Earth the other half are just stating their opinion without actually knowing the group. And I would recommend getting two. They can then sell them for exorbitant fees to buyers wanting a specific breed. She didn't bother to meet us or even ask us what type of environment the dog would have? I hope you have a more positive experience the next time you find your next pet. The operation that H2E conducts is a little "different" than one might expect in the industry, but is there really a norm, or established guidelines for people desiring to make this their livelihood? Met him outside as he just woke up and probably needed to go to bathroom. And while the Post did a great job of exposing errant rescues, the article said almost nothing about the abuse that dogs endure in puppy mills. My experience with heaven to earth was a positive one with the exception of the spay/neuter deal. He is now 4 months old and we can't imagine life without him! Hope this helpsLarry, The money/profit issue aside - there are new veterinary studies showing that puppies born to unhealthy and stressed mothers are more likely to suffer from multiple issues. We promise not to send you any unrelated messages, Click here if youd like to unsubscribe from notifications about new complaints of Heaven on Earth Newfoundland Dogs. I also feel that she gave the puppy something to be sedated as she knew that we had two hours drive. It takes a lot for me not to go back and get another one because this one has brought so much into my life.I know sometimes they do not know what kind of conditions their puppies come from; she couldn't give me much background on mine, but I feel that this is the case with any rescue and unfortunately these things can't be foreseen. Also, on the medical record we received, there is no name of the vet who administered the shots. Puppy mills do NOT have to produce pure bred dogs- they can be glorified back yard breeders to broker breeders (which this seems to be). Back then, I found them from petfinder and the addition fee was only $175 only included a bag of dog food. Definitely appears to be a form of brokerage! But other purebred rescue groups knowingly and willingly rake in donations in order to save dogs from puppy mills and then sell them as rescues to high-paying buyers. If you believe their "hidden" operation is completely opposite of everything that they display openly, and feel suspicious, then you should get your dog elsewhere. I did receive a follow up call checking on the pup again after my initial check in about incision site. Embracing the reality that Nature Bats Last. We "adopted" a puppy from there 2 years ago after losing our 13 year old lab mix family dog to cancer. They only sell and "rescue" puppies! The puppies were in a large fenced area and were getting paper trained at one end of the fenced area. Our vet did also state the wear on his paws was from living conditions and he was a bit thin. She then proceeded to argue with my fianc when he tried explaining that he wanted a dog and we drove there to meet the dog so we could decide if he was a good fit for us. These people are paying attention to the details. They claim to place the ads in papers so that they can find any litters that might not find homes (they do acknowledge the ads and don't try to hide this). Anonymous unsigned comments will be deleted. The proprietors don't even use their real names. Click here to get notifications about new complaints of Heaven on Earth Newfoundland Dogs. Like many others on here stated; things did seem bit strange about their whole adoption process. Heaven to Earth were awesome. French bulldogs often suffer from respiratory problems that can be corrected (partially) only with surgery because they were bred to have the desirable flat face. We greatly appreciate your effort here!Andy. I looked at the Heaven To Earth site and immediately told my husband that this group is dealing in puppy mill dogs! Clearly they are running a mix-breed puppy mill. Other items include "travel expenses" and "dog supplies." My hubby asked if they had any young or adult dogs to adopt, which she replied "No, people only want to adopt puppies, no one wants an older dog". I'll never go through them again. But that was just our judgment at the time.We had googled their names but did not see Puppy Connection. Since they do not know the exact lineage of the parents, certain traits from another breed may become dominant, and so they can be advertised more accurately they change the breeds. The farmers and Amish still do not believe in spaying or neutering for a variety of reasons even though the Vets will tell them about the benefits. I told her my fianc was a little nervous and she asked why. Strangely I did not get a "prayer" book, as others didiIt did seem strange that we met at a house in the back of a shopping plaza that they use only for the adoption. The ASPCA had a good article a few years ago that showed how people traveling from one Shelter to another was actually the number one cause for the spread of infectious diseases in shelter animalsHeaven to Earth Rescue has been around since 2004. On the other hand, if they appear to be providing what they say, then go for it. If you believe their "hidden" operation is completely opposite of everything that they display openly, and feel suspicious, then you should get your dog elsewhere. Hmmmmmm.Things were not making sense. Theres no shortage of homeless dogs in the U.S., and funneling money into breeding operations will never benefit animals. "As the puppymills get choked off at the demand end -- something so many of us have worked so hard to accomplish -- those who seek to make a living off of producing and/or selling puppies to pet owners without performing any due diligence will increasingly exploit this angle. I Breeder does not believe in vaccinating her dogs against the Rabies virus. Labradoodles vs. Goldendoodles | Whats the Difference? We had a great experience and am sorry that others hadn't. She said "NO"!! The puppy mostly slept thru the ride and then for next 12 hours. We paid a $275.00 dollar adoption fee, which I felt was fair. We did catch a few red flags: only 8-week old puppies; they were no longer listed on petfinder (they apparently used to be). Mainly because why are you giving me Lowes address, then directions to your house? I am very sorry for what happened, I can't imagine that kind of devastation. We rescued a border collie puppy from H2E several years ago. Understand things do change, but again our experience was positive. I adopted my Border Collie from them May, 2007. Healthy, happy, fun, funny. She is better than the one from the breeder. Also, there was a sticker on it that had strange symbols on it. You should always ask questions and check things out. I wish I would have found this blog site before adopting and contributing to puppy brokers. The one facility that the Post highlighted (read: glamorized) for having indoor kennels and outdoor runs isnt typical of such facilities, which usually confine dogs to hutches and crates and deny them desperately needed medical care. If you say "NO" to them, you are not "allowed" to look at another animal they have. At that time they were on Petfinder.com. I am extremely analytical and am a good judge of character. I think the bottom line is that no matter where the pets are coming from, as long as they are not in any abusive situations or being mistreated in any forms. For example, Cavalier King Charles spaniels frequently suffer from severe pain thats caused by their skulls pushing on their brains because theyve been bred to have the desirable trait of unnaturally shaped heads. She was a very healthy puppy when we got her and has not had any health problems . Dogs are a big commitment and shes never seen anyone walk in the door nervous about taking one home? I asked her for real medical records and she said he husband is a vet tec so they do them at home. The salaries claimed on the tax return are fair compensation (actually, a little low/I am a CPA) for a full-time commitment to this endeavor.
